Corporal Jessie Adam Cassada, 19, of
Hendersonville, N.C. had been a recent graduate
of East Hendersonville High School, class of
2007, when he entered the Marines. He was
assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine
Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine
Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. and
deployed to Afghanistan in November 2008, where
he was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom at
the time of his death-January 6, 2009.
