Dear Hiring Manager:

My name is Jessica Montgomery, and I am relatively new to Monroe County, Ohio. I relocated in August 2006 from Washington State where I spent the past two years working on my Associates degree. While at Highline Community College (Des Moines, Washington), I maintained a noteworthy 3.49 GPA as an honor's scholar student, majoring in psychology. My time was spent polishing conflict management skills, completing suicide intervention training and using courses to gain knowledge concerning my future career in inmate rehabilitation. During this time, I was also chosen to receive the Who's Who in American Colleges award, became the Vice President of service for phi Theta Kappa, and the Secretary of GSA. I suppose this goes to show that I’m always up for a good challenge.

Matter a fact, my educational career has faced many outstanding challenges, and despite these barriers, I’m currently working on my Bachelors Degree in Applied Psychology through City University Online (Seattle, Washington), where I have already proven myself knowledgeable in the field of ethics, writing for social sciences, and developmental psychology by completing each course with an amazing 4.0 GPA (while home schooling three children). This will not only (eventually) create a knowledgeable and compassionate psychological professional, but when added to 15-years hands-on customer service experience makes me a valued addition to any team while I am earning my degree.

With this in mind,
I hope to have the opportunity to discuss any openings that you may have with you in person. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jessica Montgomery
