The concept behind
True-Emotions started in 1996 as a book of poetry written by Jesilyn
Tolson-Montgomery. This collection of poetry was Jessica's way of
not only releasing the pent up thoughts and emotions that hid deep
in her soul, but was also her way of leaving a written legacy for
her children and grandchildren.
Then one day,
Jessica learned to use a computer, and began communicating over the
internet. She discovered that there were many people who wanted and
needed true friendships. People who had for what ever reason felt
lost and alone. That is when Jessica decided to take action. She
taught herself web-design. She taught herself graphic design. Then
she started to work toward her real goal. She
wanted to offer knowledge, support, and hope by providing a place
where people can share each other's lives. She thought that maybe if
people came together and shared his and her experiences, others
would do the same. If others did the same then maybe those that
found us could make the connections necessary to make them feel
needed and understood.
This is why when
you enter the front page of True Emotions, you are greeted in
a manner that says "Come, You belong here!." It
is a way of saying, we hope that after your first visit you will return for future updates.
After all, nobody should ever feel alone.
